Tata Nexon Gets New ‘XZ+ (L)’ Trim - Customers Now Get A Total Of 77 Variants
Tata Motors recently announced that the company has successfully rolled out 4 lakh units of Nexon SUVs in India. To commemorate such a milestone, Tata Motors launched the new XZ+ (L) trim for the Nexon SUV.
Thanks to the launch of the new XZ+ (L) trim level, Tata Motors will be aiming to further increase the sales figures of its best-selling product in India.
That being said, the new XZ+ (L) trim level is available in 8 different variations. These 8 variations based on the new XZ+ (L) trim level is available in both petrol and diesel variants. However, the basic variations include XZ+ (L), XZ+ (L) Dark, XZA+ (L), and XZA+ (L) Dark.
Notable features on the new XZ+ (L) trim of the Tata Nexon range include a wireless phone charger, an air purifier, ventilated leatherette seats, and auto-dimming IRVM.
Moreover, prices for the newly launched Tata Nexon XZ+ (L) trim level start from Rs 11.37 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the petrol variant and goes all the way up to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the automatic diesel variant in 'Dark' trim (XZA+ (L) Dark).
It is worth mentioning that the Tata Nexon SUV with the launch of the new XZ+ (L) trim now has a total of 77 variants. While this gives a customer plenty of options to choose from, it can also easily confuse any customer as well - So having such a long list of variants is kind of like a double-edged sword.
At present, the Tata Nexon SUV range starts from Rs 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base 'XE' trim equipped with a petrol engine and manual transmission. The most affordable automatic Tata Nexon SUV is priced at Rs 9.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
On the other hand, the most expensive Tata Nexon with a petrol engine and a manual transmission is the Tata Nexon XZ+ Jet Edition. This variant is priced at Rs 12.12 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Moreover, the most expensive petrol variant in the Tata Nexon range is the Tata Nexon XZA+ Jet Edition. This model is priced at Rs 12.77 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Coming to the diesel powertrain, the most affordable Tata Nexon is the 'XM' trim, this variant is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, the automatic variant of the Tata Nexon range starts with the XMA (S) trim, and this variant of the Tata Nexon SUV is priced at Rs 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The most expensive Tata Nexon variant is the XZA+ Jet Edition trim equipped with a diesel powertrain and an automatic gearbox. This variant of the Tata Nexon is priced at Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While the manual gearbox variation based on the same trim and powertrain is priced at Rs 13.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
That being said, the 4,00,000 unit production milestone was achieved in just 5 years after the production of the Tata Nexon SUV started in September 2017. While it took 3 years and 9 months to reach the 2 lakh unit production milestone, it took Tata Motors just another 1 year and 3 months to produce 2 lakh more Tata Nexon SUVs.
Speaking about Tata Nexon, the Sub-4m SUV from Tata Motors flaunts a 5-star safety rating for adult protection by Global-NCAP and it is among the safest cars you buy in India. It also comes with safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, reverse parking camera, ISOFIX child seat anchoring points and much more
The Tata Nexon is powered by two engine options. The petrol-powered engine is a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit capable of producing 118bhp of peak power and 170Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel unit is a 1.5-litre, turbocharged unit with 108bhp of peak power and 260Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the Tata Nexon can be specified with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
Also, Tata Nexon SUV comes loaded with many features such as a large 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a semi-digital instrument console, multi-function steering wheel, iRA connected car tech, automatic climate control, natural voice recognition function, smart keyless entry, power-operated ORVMs with power folding, cruise control and many more.
Thoughts About The Tata Nexon XZ+ (L)
With the launch of the new variant, Tata Motors is looking forward to further increasing the sales figures of its best-selling product. However, with a total of 77 variants, the Tata Nexon SUV range can be slightly confusing to a normal customer.
