Tata Nexon EV Max TVC Out
Tata Motors has released a new TVC featuring the Tata Nexon EV Max. The Indian automaker recently launched the electric SUV with a starting price of Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
This new TVC for the Tata Nexon EV Max is 117-seconds long and shows most of the new features available on the new electric SUV.
Speaking about the new Tata Nexon EV Max, it is the automaker's latest electric vehicle and the model is available in two variants - XZ+ and XZ+ Lux.
Moreover, the claimed range of the new Tata Nexon EV Max is rated to be 437km, which is 125kms more than the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV. This added range is the courtesy of the larger battery pack used in the Nexon EV Max.
The battery pack on the Tata Nexon EV Max is rated at 40.5kWh. In comparison, the battery pack on the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV is rated at just 30.2kWh. As a result, the real-world range of the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV is around 250kms.
Given the real-world range of the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV, it is safe to expect the real-world range of the new Tata Nexon EV Max to be a smidge more than the 300km mark.
The new battery pack on the Tata Nexon EV Max is around 70kgs heavier than the battery pack on the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV. However, the overall weight of the Tata Nexon EV Max has gone up by 100kgs. This additional 30kgs of weight comes from the added features on the Tata Nexon EV Max.
In order to compensate for the added weight, Tata Motors has equipped the Tata Nexon EV with a more powerful 143bhp electric motor with 250Nm of peak torque. In addition to that, Tata Motors has also equipped the new Tata Nexon EV Max with retuned suspension and upgraded brakes.
Also, the performance figures of the Tata Nexon EV Max have improved significantly as the electric SUV can reach 100km/h from a standstill in under 9 seconds and reach a top speed of 140km/h.
The Tata Nexon EV Max comes with a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, but customers can upgrade to a faster 7.2kW charger by paying an additional amount. This upgrade reduces the charging time from 15-16 hours to just 5-6 hours.
However, this charging time can be further reduced to just under an hour using a 50kW DC fast charger.
Cosmetically, changes on the exterior are kept to a minimum. However, there are a few changes such as new 16-inch new 5-spoke alloy wheels and a new exclusive intensi-teal dual-tone paint job.
On the inside, the changes are a bit more visible as the new Tata Nexon EV Max sports a new dual-tone black and beige interior, and a more stylish rotary-style gear selector with a digital display.
Other notable features on the Tata Nexon EV Max include ventilated front seats, wireless charger, air purifier, electronic parking brake, auto-hold function, variable regenerative braking, cruise control, hill descent control, ESP and much more.
Thoughts About Tata Nexon EV Max
The price of the new Tata Nexon EV Max is well-judged and we expect this new model to further extend Tata Motors' dominance in the personal EV segment.
