Indian carmaker Tata Motors recently launched the Nexon EV Max. The new Tata Nexon EV Max is the more powerful extended range version of Tata's Nexon EV electric SUV. So in this article, let's take a look at everything you need to know about the new Tata Nexon EV Max.
Tata Nexon EV Max Prices
The Tata Nexon EV Max is offered in two different guises XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Both the XZ+ and XZ+ Lux version of the Nexon EV Max are offered with the 3.3kW AC wall box charger as standard. Customers wishing to upgrade to the faster 7.2kW AC charger will have to shell out Rs 50,000 extra.

Tata Nexon EV Max Motor & Battery Specs
The Nexon EV Max is powered by a single permanent magnet synchronous AC motor that produces 141bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. Powering the Nexon EV Max's motor is a liquid-cooled, high-density lithium-ion battery pack rated at 40.5kWh with a claimed range of 437 kilometres. The Nexon EV's motor and battery pack feature IP67 ratings for dust, water and shock protection. Tata is also offering an 8-year/ 1,60,00km warranty on the motor and battery pack.
The Nexon EV Max offers three different driving modes - City, Sport & Eco. The Nexon EV Max will sprint from 0-100km/h in under 9 seconds and will continue to accelerate till it tops out at 140km/h.
Tata Nexon EV Max Charging & Regenerative Braking
The Tata Nexon offers three different charging options to charge up its 40.5kWh battery pack. The slowest of the charging options is through the use of the standard 3.3kWh wall box charger. When connected to this standard charging option the Nexon EV Max will fill up its battery pack from 0-100 per cent in around 15 hours.
The next charging option is the optional 7.2kWh Fast AC charger. This Rs 50,000 optional extra cuts down the total charging time from 0-100 per cent to just six to seven hours.
The final charging option offered for the Nexon is 50kW fast DC charging. When connected to a fast DC charger, the Nexon EV will recuperate its charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 56 minutes.
The Nexon EV Max also features multi-mode regenerative braking. Owners can choose from 4 different levels of regenerative braking with Level 0 featuring no regen and Level 3 offering maximum regenerative braking.
Nexon EV Max Features
The Nexon EV Max comes packed with a host of features. These include exterior highlights like the LED daytime running lights and 16-inch diamond-cut aerodynamic alloy wheels and the use of blue highlights across the electric SUV.
Step inside the new Nexon EV Max and the changes are more evident with the Makrana Beige interiors, an electric sunroof and a jewelled control knob with a digital display that lets owners know which gear they are in.
Other features include ventilated leatherette seats, rear AC vents, a cooled glovebox, auto-dimming IRVM, a Harman Infotainment system, electronic parking brake, a wireless phone charger and an air purifier. Also present is cruise control and large 350-litre boot.
Tata Nexon EV Max Safety Features
The Nexon EV Max comes packed with a host of safety features. These features include a fortified cabin made with high-strength reinforced steel, twin front airbags and ISOFIX anchor points for child seats.
Other safety features include ABS with EBD and brake assist, auto vehicle hold, ESP with Intelligent Vaccum-less Boost & Active Control (i-VBAC), panic brake alert, auto vehicle hold and disc brakes for all four wheels among others.
