MG Motor India's sales are mostly driven by its first model for India - the Hector SUV. This large connected SUV claims MG Motor continues to get over 4,000 bookings every month.
The MG Hector for India is offered with three powertrain options in India - 1.5-litre turbocharged, 1.5-litre turbocharged hybrid (both petrol) and a 2.0-litre diesel. The base 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine puts out 141bhp and 250Nm of torque and is offered with either a 6-speed manual, or a CVT automatic gearbox or a 6-speed dual clutch automatic.

The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with the mild hybrid system pushes out the same as the regular powertrain but adds a single motor that adds 20Nm of torque whenever required. The mild-hybrid Hector is only offered with a manual transmission.
The 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine produces 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque and is only offered with a manual 6-speed gearbox.

MG's other interest garnering offering in its lineup was the ZS EV. MG claims that it has been receiving over 1,000 bookings for its electric SUV every month. MG Motor recently updated the ZS EV for India dropping anew 50.3kWh battery pack under the floor of the electric SUV allowing it to drive for a claimed 461 kilometres on a single charge. The new battery pack is ASIL-D, IP69K and UL2580 certified which MG Motor claims makes it more durable for the varied weather conditions of India.

The 50.3kWh battery pack on the MG ZS EV allows for fast DC charging which can help bring the charge back up to 80 per cent in just 60 minutes. When plugged into a fast AC charger at home, the MG ZS EV will fully replenish its battery pack from 0 per cent in around 8.5-9 hours. Plugging the ZS EV into a 15A home charger will require 18-19 hours for a full charge.

MG's other offerings in the Indian market come in the form of the Hector Plus, the Gloster and the Astor compact SUV.
