Maruti claims that the company has witnessed 22 per cent CAGR growth for its CNG vehicles in the last five years. This means, more people are favouring CNG vehicles with time.
1. Design & Features
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio looks identical to the conventional petrol-powered Maruti Suzuki Celerio from every angle.

2. Powertrain
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG uses the same 1.0-litre K10C series engine that has been tuned to run on both petrol and CNG fuel.
However, power and torque figures are slightly down at 56bhp at 5,300 rpm and 82.1Nm of torque at 3,400 rpm, which is around 9.7bhp and 6.9Nm less than the petrol-powered variant of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
The CNG variant of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio also comes equipped with a 60-litre CNG tank.
3. Safety
In terms of safety, the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit integrated by experts into the mainframe of the car on the manufacturing floor. It also has a special leak-proof design according to the company.
Apart from that, the CNG variant of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio comes equipped with safety features such as two airbags, speed-sensitive auto door lock, ABS, Immobilizer, child-proof rear door locks, reverse parking sensors and many more.
4. Price
As mentioned earlier, prices for the CNG variant of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio starts from Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While this price may seem high at a glance, it is worth mentioning that the CNG variant of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio is available as 'VXi' trim level, lower trim levels could be introduced at later stages.
