Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 Deliveries Commence – All You Need To Know
Indian automaker, Mahindra has finally commenced the deliveries of the 'Z4' variant of the Scorpio N SUV in the country.
While the deliveries of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUV commenced in September 2022, the automaker prioritised the deliveries of the top-spec 'Z8' trim level of the SUV over other variants.
In fact, Mahindra managed to deliver 7,000 units of the Scorpio N SUVs in the first 10 days after commencing the deliveries of the SUV in the country. That being said, Mahindra has started delivering the mid-spec and lower trim levels of the Scorpio N SUVs in India.
While it is clear that the Z4 trim level of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUV won't be getting much of the features seen in the top-end 'Z8' trim level of the SUV, the Scorpio N in the Z4 trim level does sport more than decent feature list with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Starting with the safety features, Mahindra has not made any major cost-cuttings in this area and the Scorpio N Z4 SUV still comes with safety features such as ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, multiple airbags, ventilated disc brakes at front and rear, and ISOFIX anchoring points.
Coming to features, the Scorpio N Z4 comes with Start/Stop technology, 2nd row AC vents, a touchscreen infotainment screen with steering-mounted audio controls, a USB charging port, a 7-inch MID display, power windows, a 1-touch tumble seat in the second row, skid plates, ORVM-mounted LED turn signals, cruise control and a few more.
In terms of powertrain, the petrol engine uses a 2.0-litre, turbocharged unit with 200bhp of peak power and 370Nm of torque. Also, this engine comes with a choice of both manual and automatic gearbox options. On the other hand, the diesel unit also comes with a choice of both automatic gearbox options.
While the manual variant of the Scorpio N diesel SUV comes with a slightly less powerful iteration with 130bhp of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque from its 2.2-litre turbocharged engine, the automatic variant of the Scorpio N diesel SUV produces 172.5bhp of peak power and 40NNm of peak torque.
Thoughts About The Mahindra Scorpio Z4
Mahindra set a new record as the company racked up more than 1 lakh bookings for the Scorpio N SUVs in just 30 minutes. That being said, the automaker has finally commenced the deliveries of the mid-spec and lower-spec variants of the Scorpio N SUV in India and we expect to see more of these models on Indian roads very soon.
