Mahindra Scorpio Classic Specs & Dimensions
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is offered with the carmaker's second-gen mHawk diesel engine. The 2.2-litre diesel powertrain develops 130bhp at 3,750rpm and 300Nm of peak torque between 1,600 and 2,800rpm.
Mahindra claims the 2nd-gen mHawk engine is 55 kilogrammes lighter than the old Scorpio's powerplant. The only gearbox on the new Scorpio Classic is a 6-speed manual transmission which now sports a cable shift setup.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic features a ladder frame chassis. The front suspension setup is a double wishbone affair while the rear end sports a multi-link setup. Mahindra has fettled with the suspension setup of the Scorpio Classic to improve high-speed stability. The Scorpio Classic rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/65 R17 tyres.
The new Mahindra Scorpio is 4,456mm long, 1,820mm wide, and 1,995mm tall. The wheelbase of the new Scorpio Classic is 2,680mm long.
Mahindra Scorpio Design & Features
The Mahindra Scorpio looks nearly identical to the previous-gen Scorpio but features a few cosmetic changes that help differentiate it from the older model. These changes come in the form of the new front grille with Mahindra's Twin Peaks logo at its centre. Also seen is a new front bumper with new housings for the fog lamps and a faux skid plate. The 17-inch alloy wheels feature a dual-tone finish and there is Scorpio Classic badging on the tailgate.
Step inside the new Scorpio Classic and you'll be greeted by the new two-tone beige and black interior theme. The Scorpio Classic is offered in two 7-seater and one 9-seater seating variations. The Scorpio Classic also sports a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers phone mirroring capabilities. Other features on offer include armrests for the front seats, steering mounted controls, AC vents for the rear seats, cruise control, rear parking sensors and diamond cut finish for the alloy wheels.
The new Mahindra Scorpio is offered in five body colour options: Red Rage, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and a newly introduced Galaxy Grey.
Thoughts About The Mahindra Scorpio Classic
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic revitalizes the previous-gen Scorpio with a few cosmetic and mechanical upgrades that should make it a compelling buy for those who think the new Scorpio-N is way too large in size.
