Last Naturally Aspirated V12 Lamborghini Rolls Off Production Line - End Of An Era

The final N.A. V12 Lamborghini - an Aventador Ultimae Roadster finished in blue - is headed to Switzerland. This final Aventador Ultimae Roadster is finished in very special light blue shade finalized through Lamborghini's Ad Personam customization programme.

The Ultimae Roadster and Coupe were the final hurrah for the Aventador, the most successful Lamborghini V12 model ever. The coupe was limited to just 350 units while the Roadster was even rarer with just 250 ever built.

The Aventador Ultimae sported the most potent form of Lamborghini's outgoing naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine to date, with the vocal powerplant putting out 769bhp at 8,500rpm and 720Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed single clutch robotized manual gearbox. The Aventador Ultimae sprints from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds and can hit a top speed of 355km/h.

This final Ultimae Roadster also marks the end of the Aventador era at Lamborghini. He Aventador has been Lamborghini's most successful V12 model of all time. Lamborghini sold more Aventadors than all of its previous V12 models combined, which shows just how popular this flagship model from Sant'Agata Bolognese was.

Lamborghini rolled out its 5,000th Aventador in the fifth year of the supercar's production, matching the total number of Murciélago models ever produced. In September 2020, the 10,000th Aventador was delivered to its owner.

Over the years, Lamborghini has produced multiple versions of the Aventador. The OG Aventador was unveiled back in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show (remember the times when those shows used to be a thing) with the roadster following a year later.

SV and SVJ models with their roadster variants arrived in the following year before Lamborghini refreshed the platform with the Aventador S that arrived at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. SV and SVJ models of the refreshed Aventador platform followed before it was finally brought to an end with the Ultimae models.

The Aventador platform also spawned many special edition models including Jota, the Anniversario, the Pirelli Edition, the Miura Homage, and the SVJ Xago. The platform was also used as base for many of Lamborghini's recent one-off and few-off models like the Veneno, Centenario, SC18 Altson, Sian FKP 37 and the bonkers new Countach LPI 800-4.
