Jeep Dealer Delivers 60 Meridian SUVs In A Single Day
A Jeep dealer in the Delhi NCR region delivered 60 Jeep Meridian SUVs in a single day. An event of such a large scale asserts the success of the Jeep Meridian SUV in the Indian automobile market.
Recently, South Indian film actress, Shwetha Menon gifted her husband a Jeep Meridian SUV for his birthday.
Coming back to the 'Mega Delivery' event, the video of the event was uploaded to the Youtube channel by the name 'SUMIT THAKUR LANDMARK JEEP'. However, we are not sure whether the person who uploaded the video is a staff of the dealership or an individual vlogger.
Speaking about the Jeep Meridian, the SUV was recently launched in India and it is positioned above the Jeep Compass SUV. In fact, the Jeep Meridian is the 7-seater version of the Jeep Compass SUV.
At present, the Jeep Meridian SUV pricing starts from Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base variant and goes all the way up to Rs 36.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-end variant.
In terms of the design, the Jeep Meridian SUV looks a lot more premium than the Jeep Compass SUV. At the front, the Meridian SUV sports a pair of rectangular headlamps with LED projector headlamps and integrated LED DRLs. In addition to that, these rectangular headlights are connected by Jeep's signature 7-slat grille.
Also, the front bumper in the Jeep Meridian SUV is different compared to the Jeep Compass SUV with its large single air dam and full-width chrome bar that neatly divides the front bumper into two portions. Moreover, the lower half of the front bumper is finished in black to aid the rugged looks of the SUV.
It is also worth mentioning that the Jeep Meridian SUV sports slightly longer rear doors for easier ingress and egress for the middle & last-row passengers.
Moving inside the Jeep Meridian SUV, the interior of the 7-seater MUV looks a bit more upmarket than the facelifted version of the Jeep Compass SUV - A courtesy of its brown leather interior, gold accents and Suede trim on the dashboard.
In terms of features, the 2022 Jeep Meridian SUV comes with a lot of new features such as dual-zone climate control, a large 10.25-inch digital drivers display, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a large panoramic sunroof, multicolour ambient lighting, steering-mounted controls, cruise control and many more.
In terms of safety, Jeep has equipped the Meridian generously with all the necessary safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electric parking brake, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and many more.
Powering the Jeep Meridian SUV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 168bhp of peak power and 350Nm of peak torque. This engine can be specified with either a 9-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Staying true to its roots, the Jeep Meridian can also be specified with a capable all-wheel-drive setup.
Thoughts About The Jeep Meridian SUV
The Jeep Meridian looks a lot more premium and luxurious than the Jeep Compass. Also, if you are planning to buy a 7-seater SUV with a budget north of the Rs 30 lakh mark, be sure to test drive the Jeep Meridian SUV as it offers a decent mix of on-road and off-road capabilities.
