Hyundai Tucson Specs & Dimensions
The Hyundai Tucson is offered with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines both of which are paired with automatic transmission options.
The petrol powerplant of the Hyundai Tucson produces 154bhp at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
The diesel Tucson's engine puts out 183bhp at 4,00rpm and 416Nm of peak torque between 2,000 and 2,700rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
All versions of the Hyundai Tucson are offered with 4 standard driving modes - Eco, Normal, Sport and Smart. All-wheel drive versions of the Tucson feature three off-roading modes - Snow, Mud and Sand - that can be selected by flicking a switch.
The Hyundai Tucson for India is the long-wheelbase version of the Korean SUV. The Hyundai Tucson LWB is 4,630mm long, 1,865mm wide and 1,865mm tall. The wheelbase of the India-spec Tucson is 2,755mm long. The Hyundai Tucson has a fuel tank capacity of 54 litres.
Hyundai Tucson Design & Features
The Hyundai Tucson follows the South Korean carmaker's Sensual Sportiness global design language. The front end of the SUV features the marque's massive dark chrome parametric grille with integrated DRLs that only fade into the background when switched off. The headlights sit lower on the front bumper flanking either side of the grille and the SUV also features a large air dam and faux bash plate finished off in silver.
The sides of the Tucson feature chunky wheelarches that play host to the 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels behind which lurk the disc brakes for an extra layer of safety. The front bumper, wheelarches, sides and rear bumper all feature plastic cladding.
The rear section of the Hyundai Tucson is dominated by the connected taillights while the Hyundai badge sits on the rear windscreen. The Tucson also features a roof mounted spoiler element.
Step inside the new Tucson and you're greeted by a minimalist design that is pleasing to the eye. There are three displays in total - two 10.25-inch units for the driver's console and infotainment system and a smaller unit with controls for the dual-zone climate control system.
The infotainment display supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Hyundai's BlueLink connected car suite of features that include OTA updates, Alexa and Google Assistant support among many others. The Hyundai Tucson features a premium 8-speaker system from Bose with 5-speakers, two tweeters, a sub-woofer and a built-in amp.
The Hyundai Tucson's seats feature leatherette upholstery as well as heated and ventilated front seats (driver's unit also features electric adjustment with memory fucntion, and reclining rear seats.
The premium SUV also gets a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, air purifier, and rain sensing wipers among others.
The Tucson also features Level 2 ADAS systems and is the first Hyundai vehicle in India to feature driver aids. ADAS systems like forward collision warning, blind spot assist, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert are offered with the Tucson and the SUV also gets safety aids like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold controlamong others.
