Hyundai Tucson Bookings Open For Rs 50,000 - Launch Next Month

Hyundai unveiled the India-spec version of the 4th-gen Tucson earlier this month. The South Korean marque will launch the Tucson, which will be Hyundai's flagship ICE-powered vehicle for the Indian market, on the 4th of August.

Speaking about the commencement of bookings for the new Tucson SUV, Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, "The all-new Tucson has been crafted with unique and revolutionary elements that bring together luxury, technology and innovation. The Hyundai Tucson for India is being offered with two engine options - petrol and diesel - both of which displace 2.0-litres and are turbocharged. The petrol engine for the Tucson pushes out 154bhp at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, cranks out 184bhp at 4,000rpm and 416Nm of peak torque at 2,750rpm. Both engines are mated to automatic gearboxes with the petrol paired with a 6-speed unit and the diesel getting an eight-speed setup.

The all-new Hyundai Tucson will be offered in two distinct package options - Platinum and Signature. The Platinum Edition will feature over 45 standard safety features which will go past the 60 mark in the Signature guise of the Tucson.

The Signature variant of the new Tucson will come packed to the gills with features like multiple terrain modes (Snow/Mud/Sand) along with a hands-free smart powered tailgate with height adjustment, Ventilated and heated front seats, Driver power seat with memory function and an 8-way power adjustable passenger seat with walk-in device.

The new Signature Edition of the Tucson will also feature Hyundai's level 2 ADAS features like - Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist - Car, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist - Pedestrian, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist- Cycle, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist- Junction Turning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot View Monitor and Safe Exit Warning.

Other ADAS features on offer with the Tucson Signature will include Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Surround View Monitor.
