Hyundai Ioniq 6 Electric Sedan Unveiled
Hyundai has finally taken the wraps off the Ioniq 6 electric vehicle. Unlike the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the newly revealed Hyundai Ioniq 6 is an electric sedan.
Hyundai calls the Ioniq 6 'electrified streamliner' and looking at the electric sedan, the tagline really suits the design of the electric vehicle. In addition to that, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 has a drag coefficient of just 0.21 - Making it the slipperiest Hyundai model in the world.
Looking at the design and achieved drag coefficient, we can say that the engineering team behind the Hyundai Ioniq 6 has done a commendable job at making the electric sedan as slippery as possible without making it look weird in any sort of way.
Starting with the design, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan can definitely stand out from the crowd with its minimalist yet sporty design. Apart from that, the teardrop silhouette is further accentuated by using smooth body panels.
The front end looks sophisticated with its 700 Parametric pixel headlamps and vertical elements on the front bumper. Also, the sides feature very sporty-looking alloy wheels. Moreover, the rear portion of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 features a neatly integrated spoiler below the rear window and a ducktail spoiler below it.
Apart from that, the rear bumper also features vertical elements. Accentuating the width of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan is the full-width connected LED tail lamps. Also, the spoiler also sports LED stop lamps.
It is also worth mentioning that the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan features a rearward-facing camera instead of ORVMs. This setup not only reduces the drag coefficient but gives the electric sedan a futuristic approach.
On the inside, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan sports a minimalist theme on the inside with its button-less door panels, two-spoke steering wheel, and single dash frame. Moreover, the interior is uplifted by the use of two large 12-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment unit. Also, two more screens on the edges act as displays for the previously mentioned side-view cameras.
The interior of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan also features 64-colour ambient lighting and other modern features that make the interior a lot more interesting to spend some time in.
Earlier, Hyundai Motor India had announced that the company will soon launch the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle in India before the end of 2022. In addition to that, the launch of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric vehicle in the country will expand the South Korean automaker's product portfolio.
Speaking about the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the electric vehicle will be the South Korean automaker's second electric vehicle in the country after the Hyundai Kona electric SUV. The electric vehicle is also the winner of the 2022 World Car Of The Year.
Thoughts About Hyundai Ioniq 6 Electric Sedan
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 definitely looks apart with its minimalist and slippery styling. Moreover, we are expecting more than decent levels range thanks to the incredibly low drag coefficient.
