Hyundai Hikes Prices Of Its SUV Range Up To Rs 27,000
Hyundai has hiked the prices of its SUV model range in India. The prices for the Hyundai Creta, Alcazar and Venue have been hiked up to Rs 27,000.
Diving into the details, the prices for the Hyundai Venue SUV has been increased up to Rs 12,000. However, the price of the Venue diesel SX MT variant remains unchanged.
Thanks to this price hike, prices for the Hyundai Venue SUV now range between Rs 7.11 - 11.93 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
On the other hand, the prices for the Hyundai Creta SUV have been hiked up to Rs 27,000. However, the price for the petrol-powered Creta SUV in the ‘S' variant equipped with manual transmission remains identical.
Hyundai has even hiked the prices of its Alcazar SUV up to Rs 10,100 except the prices of all three diesel Signature (O) variants and dual-tone 6-seater petrol Signature variants.
Recently, the CNG variant of the Hyundai Alcazar has been spied testing in India. This new spy shot of the Hyundai SUV comes just days after the CNG variant of the Kia Carens was spied in the country.
The Kia Carens and Hyundai Alcazar are some of the best choices for anyone looking for a 7-seater vehicle in the country. Now, both companies are looking forward to launching the CNG versions of their respective models.
Apart from that, Hyundai is gearing up to launch the CNG variant of the Alcazar SUV in India. This SUV has been spotted a few times wearing heavy camouflage.
Speaking about the Hyundai Alcazar, the 7-seater South Korean SUV looks substantially more premium and bigger than the Hyundai Creta - Thanks to its redesigned front grille and taller roofline.
The Hyundai Alcazar comes with two engine options. The more popular and frugal 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel unit produces 113.45bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit produces a slightly healthier 156.90bhp of peak power and 191Nm of peak torque.
The CNG variant of the Hyundai Alcazar uses the same 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. However, Hyundai has slightly modified this unit to suit the CNG fuel.
Both engine options on the Hyundai Alcazar can be specified with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, like many other CNG vehicles, the CNG variant of the Alcazar will come equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission only.
Recently, Hyundai also launched the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition in India. This special edition features an all-black treatment and sports red inserts on the front grille and front brake calipers.
Thoughts About Hyundai's Recent Price Hike
Though Hyundai has hiked the prices of its popular SUV models such as Hyundai Venue, Creta, and Alcazar, the price hike is not a substantial amount. We expect most customers to overlook this price hike.
In addition to that, such price hikes are likely to fly under the radar of many potential consumers in the country.
