Hyundai Creta N Line Teaser Out
Hyundai is gearing up to launch the N Line variant of the Creta SUV in international markets. The South Korean automaker even released a few teaser images of the SUV to tempt its prospective customers.
The teaser images of the Hyundai Creta N Line were posted by Hyundai Brazil on various social media platforms. However, we are not sure whether Hyundai will launch the Creta N Line in India any time soon.
Internationally, Hyundai offers N Line variants in cars such as i10, i20, i30, Elantra, Kona, and Tucson. In India, the N Line variant is available only with the i20 hatchback. However, we expect Hyundai India to soon extend the N Line treatment to the Venue SUV as well.
Coming back to Hyundai Creta N Line, we expect the upcoming N Line SUV to feature similar changes as the Hyundai i20 N Line hatchback. These changes include a sportier front grille with N Line badge, contrasting Red treatment on the exterior and a few more sporty design elements.
On the inside, the upcoming Hyundai Creta N Line is likely to sport an all-black interior with the N Line logo on various parts of the interior and a new N Line steering wheel.
Under the hood, the South American version of Hyundai Creta is offered with a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 156.90bhp of power and 191Nm of torque. This 2.0-litre unit is the same engine that powers the Hyundai Alcazar in India.
In contrast, the Hyundai Creta in India comes with three powertrain options. The most popular choice is the 1.5-litre diesel unit with 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine comes with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
On the other hand, the base petrol model is the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. This engine also comes with a choice of a manual and automatic gearbox, however, the automatic gearbox is a CVT unit.
The sportiest powertrain option available with the Hyundai Creta in India is the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 138bhp and 242Nm of torque. Moreover, this engine comes mated to a quick-shifting 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Speaking about Hyundai Creta, the 5-seater midsize SUV is the best selling Hyundai model in India and it is also among the best selling SUVs in the country.
Also, the Hyundai Creta is among the most feature-packed cars in the country with features such as a large touchscreen infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated seats, rear AC vents, climate control, connected car tech, a large panoramic sunroof, and much more.
Thoughts About Hyundai Creta N Line
Though Hyundai might not be so keen to launch the Hyundai Creta N Line in India, we expect the South Korean automaker to launch this model in India to attract more customers as the competition has become very strong with the launch of Skoda Kusaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
