The Tata Tiago uses the same tried-and-tested 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine as its petrol-powered counterparts, however, engineers at Tata Motors have made a few changes to the powertrain to run on CNG.

While this engine produces 84.82bhp and 113Nm of torque in standard form, with the CNG fuel, this engine produces slightly lower power and torque outputs at 73bhp and 95Nm of torque.

The CNG version of the Tata Tiago is available in four trim levels and prices for the CNG version of the Tiago range starts at Rs 6.09 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base 'XE' variant and goes all the way up to Rs 7.52 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-spec 'XZ+' trim level. Whereas the XM and XT trim levels are priced at Rs 6.39 lakh and Rs 6.69 lakh, respectively.
