BYD e6 Deliveries Begin In India: Electric MPV Ready To Hit The Streets In Six Cities

BYD has partnered with several dealerships and has created a dealer network across 8 cities in India. As mentioned earlier, the electric MPV is not available for private buyers to purchase in the country.

Speaking about the e6, the MPV is powered by a 71.7kWh Blade Battery paired to a 70kW. The electric powertrain produces 94bhp and 180Nm torque offering a maximum range of 520KM according to WLTC. The top speed of the MPV is rated at 130kmph.

The e6 supports AC and DC fast charging technologies. The DC fast charging technology can charge the vehicle from 30% to 80% within 35 minutes. Additionally, the MPV features regenerative braking where the regen happens from as low as 2kmph.

Other features include a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, CN95 air filter, 10.1 infotainment unit, with portrait and landscape modes, 580-litre of boot space, LED daytime running lights, and LED rear combination lamps; among others.

The electric MPV comes with a 3-years/125,000kms warranty, a battery cell warranty of 8-years/500,000kms, and a traction motor warranty of 8 Years/150,000kms.
