BMW XM Specs & Dimensions

The BMW XM is powered by the firm's S68 twin turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine and a single electric motor. The S68 engine and the electric motor combined produce 644bhp and 800Nm which is sent to all four wheels of the BMW XM with the help of an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

BMW XM Design & Features

The BMW XM takes the German firm's penchant for oversized kidney grille's to a whole new level. The gaping kidney grilles which light up are flanked on either side by a set of split headlights straight out of the new X7 and 7 Series. The front bumper also features a large central air dam on its lower section that also houses some of the sensors for the ADAS setup.

The sides of the XM sport some rather chunky and squared off wheelarches which play host to the large alloy wheels that start at 21-inches and go up to 23-inches in diameter. There is also quite a bit of chrome on the window line and the shoulder line of the SUV. The charging port for the battery pack can also be seen on the front left flank.

The rear section of the BMW XM looks rather tame compared to the rest of the SUV. There are BMW badges on the upper corners of the rear windscreen and the SUV also sports some rather sleek LED taillights and vertically stacked twin hexagonal exhausts on either side of the chunky diffuser element.

Step inside the BMW XM and you'll be greeted by massive single curved pane of glass that houses the twin 14.5-inch screens for the driver's display and the touchscreen infotainment system. The interiors feature a two-tone theme with Vintage Coffee Merino leather and soft Blue Nappa Leather upholstery covering almost every panel of the cabin.

Other features on the inside include quilted leather upholstery for the seats, dedicated rear infotainment display, a headliner with 100 LEDs embedded into it for various lighting effects, M specific pedals, all of which add to premium look and feel of the XM. The XM comes packed with safety features including the widest range of ADAS features fitted to a BMW ever.

Thoughts About The BMW XM

The BMW XM is the most powerful SUV from the German luxury carmaker and is also the first bespoke M car since the M1 supercar. The XM is the absolute status symbol for the BMW fanboy who now has a family and quite a bit of cash to spend.
