Audi Q7 Bookings Open Officially Ahead Of India Launch: 3-Litre Petrol Engine, Quattro & More
The new Audi Q7 is all set to launch in the Indian market. The company is accepting pre-bookings of the next-generation SUV for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. The new Q7 will be available in two variants: Premium Plus and Technology.
Exterior Design
The exterior of the next-generation SUV features redesigned front & rear bumpers along with larger side skirts, and new LED taillights and chrome treatment on the tailgate. However, the side profile of the car remains unchanged.
Speaking about the dimensions, the Q7 facelift has grown by 11mm in length as compared to the outgoing model and now stands at 5,063mm. Despite the increased length, the wheelbase on the new model remains unchanged.
The SUV continues to feature the LED Matrix headlamps upfront and LED tail lamps at the rear with dynamic turn indicators at both ends. Other features include approach lamps, roof rails, integrated spoiler and more.
Interior, Features & Technology
The new Q7's interiors have received significant changes as compared to the previous model to provide a modern and premium feel. The entire dashboard and centre console have been redesigned and now house three displays.
These three displays include the 12.1-inch digital instrument cluster, the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and the 8.6-inches touchscreen climate control panel. The new SUV also features the brand's latest form of connected technology along with AI assistance for remote and voice operation of the vehicles' features.
Other interior features include four-zone climate control, air ionizer & aromatization, contour ambient lighting with 30 colours, B&O premium 3D audio system and more.
Engine, Transmission & Safety
The new Q7 will be powered by a 3.0L V6 TFSI petrol engine producing maximum power of 340bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque paired to an eight-speed gearbox. Power is sent to all four wheels using the brand's Quattro AWD technology.
The powertrain combination propels the SUV from 0 - 100kmph in 5.9 seconds and continues to reach an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
The new Audi Q7 also features adaptive air suspension, Audi Drive Select drive modes, which along with the Quattro all-wheel-drive offers superior driveability and handling. Other driver-assist features included are Park Assist Plus with a 360-degree-view camera and Lane departure warning.

Audi Car 2021 Sales
Audi India recently announced a 101% growth in sales for Calendar Year 2021. The automaker witnessed a healthy sales figure of 3,293 retail units in the country last year. According to the report, the five electric cars the Audi e-Tron 50, Audi e-Tron 55, Audi e-Tron Sportback 55, Audi e-Tron GT, and the Audi RS e-Tron GT helped majorly in ramping-up sales numbers.
Additionally, the petrol-powered Q-range of SUV and the popular and sporty A-sedans also added significantly to the sales numbers.

The Q7 has remained a popular choice of luxury SUV in the Indian market because of its spacious cabin and exciting performance. However, the new-generation SUV features significant improvements and upgrades in terms of looks, features and specs offering a worthy upgrade over the outgoing SUV model.
