Audi Likely To Launch All-new Q3 In India
Audi in recent years has fallen behind its main rivals in terms of sales figures in India. However, the German automaker is still doing well and its cars are still a favourite for many youngsters and tech-savvy buyers.
Audi's most recent launch in India is the facelifted version of the Audi A8L sedan. While the launch of the updated A8 L sedan is exciting, the segment itself is rather 'niche' and the sales figures of the Audi A8 L won't help Audi gain any considerable market share.
However, that is not the case with the entry-level premium SUV segment as it is one of the most exciting segments in India with tight competition and huge potential for improving overall sales figures.
Now, Audi seems to be gearing up to launch the all-new Q3 SUV in India that made its global debut back in 2019 itself. This new Audi Q3 is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform and the automaker already has high expectations for the model.
Thanks to the MQB platform, the new Audi Q3 shares much of its underpinnings with the Volkswagen Tiguan SUV and Skoda Kodiaq SUV. In comparison to the outgoing model, the upcoming Audi Q3 is slightly longer and wider as well.
In addition to that, the upcoming new Audi Q3 SUV will feature Matrix LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a larger front grille, more stylish hexagonal fog lamp surrounds, blacked-out side skirts, and a set of updated LED tail lights.
In terms of features, the new Audi Q3 SUV will come loaded with tech and features such as a larger 10.25-inch digital driver's display, an almost equally large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and a whole suite of driver assistance systems as well.
Though the new-gen Audi Q3 SUV is available with 3 powertrain options, we expect the Indian version to be available with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine with 190bhp of power. Moreover, this engine will be mated to Audi's outstanding 7-speed DCT gearbox as well.

When launched, the new Audi Q3 SUV will compete against the likes of BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40.
Moreover, we expect the upcoming new Audi Q3 SUV to attract a lot more potential customers to dealerships across India, and also improve the sales figures for the German automaker by a decent margin.
Thoughts About The All-New Audi Q3
Though Audi has updated its models at regular intervals, the German automaker failed to introduce its latest models in the Indian market as the automaker was severely affected by the Covid pandemic and BS6 emission norms. Additionally, the recent semiconductor shortage didn't help things either.
This gave Mercedes-Benz and BMW a broad window to introduce their new models in India and capitalise on the opportunity left by Audi. However, with the launch of the new Audi Q3 SUV in India, Audi will be able to attract lot more potential buyers and improve overall sales figures for the company.
