2022 Hyundai Venue TVC Out
Recently, Hyundai launched its updated version of the Venue SUV in India, and the South Korean automaker has finally released the TVC of the much-awaited sub-4m SUV.
As for the prices, the newly launched facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue has been priced at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base variant, whereas the top-end model is priced at Rs 12.72 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).
As bookings have already commenced before the launch of the new sub-4m SUV, waiting periods for a few variants of the 2022 Hyundai Venue SUV stretches up to 16 weeks. Speaking of bookings, the new 2022 Hyundai Venue can be booked for Rs 21,000.
The new 40-second TVC shows both the exterior and the interior of the top model of the 2022 Hyundai Venue SUV, and it seems that Hyundai has packed the Venue with new features and is likely to be the most feature-packed SUV in its segment.
Also, the updated iteration of the Hyundai Venue looks a lot more premium and sophisticated than the model it replaces.
Diving into the details, the 2022 Hyundai Venue SUV in the TVC wore the 'Fiery Red' paint scheme. In addition to this colour, there are 6 more exterior colours - Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Polar White, Phantom Black, Denim Blue, and Fiery Red (dual-tone).
Looking at the exterior of the new Hyundai Venue, the sub-4m SUV gets a completely revised front section with a new front bumper, a pair of new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, faux skid plate and a new front grille.
On the sides, the new chrome door handles, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a more prominent-looking roof rail makes the sub-4m SUV look a bit more substantial. Moving to the rear, the new LED tail lamps, a new rear bumper complete the overall makeover.
On the inside, the 2022 Hyundai Venue SUV features a new dashboard along with a new upholstery. Moreover, the new stand-out features include an 8-inch infotainment unit, 10 regional language infotainment unit menu, digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, ventilated front seats, air purifier, Home to Car function with Alexa and Google Assitant, 60+ BlueLink connected car features, 360-degree surround-view camera, reclining rear seats and more.
Apart from this, the new Hyundai Venue will also sport features such as a cooled glove box, electric sunroof, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charging pad, auto climate control, multiple drive modes and more.
Apart from that, the 2022 Hyundai Venue is available in 6 trim levels and 3 engine options. Out of the 3 engine options, two are petrol units while the other is a diesel unit.
The base powertrain is still a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 81.8bhp of peak power and 114Nm of torque. Moreover, this engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 2nd petrol engine is the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit with 118.4bhp of peak power and 172Nm of peak torque. Unlike the earlier engine option, this unit comes with a choice of either a 7-speed DCT gearbox or a 6-speed iMT.
Finally, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 98.6bhp of peak power and 240Nm of peak torque. This oil burner comes mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission and the lack of automatic with the diesel engine is a sore miss.
Thoughts About The 2022 Hyundai Venue
The launch of the facelifted iteration of the Hyundai Venue is very crucial for the South Korean automaker as Tata Motors is hot on its tail to become the 2nd largest car manufacturer in India.
