In recent years, the sales figures for Audi India have fallen behind its main competitors and Audi India is betting big with the launch of the new 2022 Audi Q3 SUV in India. Moreover, the previous iteration of the Audi Q3 SUV has been very well received by the Indian audience when it was launched way back in 2012 for Rs 26.21 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Now, 10 years later, Audi India has launched the 3rd-generation Audi Q3 and the latest model is slightly bigger in size and comes packed with far more features as well.
At present, Audi India has capped the booking amount at Rs 2 lakh for the new 2022 Audi Q3 SUV and the German automaker is planning to maximise the sales push during the upcoming festive season in India by offering added benefits to the first 500 customers of the SUV.
The added benefit for the first 500 customers of the newly launched Audi Q3 SUV includes an extended warranty of 2 + 3 years and a 3-year / 50,000km Comprehensive Service Package. Both of these will surely urge potential customers to book the SUV as soon as possible.
Coming to the powertrain, unlike the previous model, the new 2022 Audi Q3 SUV is only available with 1 petrol engine. This engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit capable of producing 188.1bhp of peak power at 4,200rpm and 320Nm of peak torque at just 1,500 rpm. In addition to that, this engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox that sends power to all four wheels of the new SUV.
Thanks to a combination of Quattro all-wheel-drive system and a torquey turbocharged petrol engine, the new 2022 Audi Q3 SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
Speaking at the event, Mr Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said,"Today, we enhance our product line-up with the launch of the new Audi Q3. The Audi Q3 has been amongst our best-sellers in India and a segment leader, and we are confident that the new Audi Q3 will replicate its success. With the new Audi Q3, we are offering a stellar proposition with its new look and best-in-class features."
The new 2022 Audi Q3 comes with features such as powered and heated ORVMs, all LED lighting, a large panoramic glass sunroof, frameless auto-dimming IRVM, start/stop system, regenerative braking, cruise control, gesture-controlled tailgate, 2-zone climate control, Audi Virtual Cockpit digital driver's display, 60-colour ambient lighting, Audi Drive Select, power-adjustable front seats with 4-way lumbar support and many more.
In terms of safety, the new Audi Q3 SUV comes packed with safety kit such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, TC (traction control), 360-degree surround-view camera, ISOFIX child seat mounting points and much more. It is also worth mentioning that the new Audi Q3 also sports advanced safety systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic jam assist and front collision avoidance assistance.
Thoughts About The New 2022 Audi Q3 SUV
The launch offer for the first 500 customers of the new Audi Q3 SUV will allow Audi India to capitalise well on the sales push achieved during the festive season in India. Moreover, we expect the new 2022 Audi Q3 SUV to be more than a decent choice for anyone looking for a premium 5-seater SUV.
