Raging Bull SUV Hits Double Ton In India - Another Record For The Lamborghini Urus

The 200th Urus was delivered in India four years after the Lamborghini super SUV arrived in the country back in January 2018. The 100th Urus arrived in India in March 2021. This means that the last 100 Urus SUVs have all arrived in the country in just the past 16 months, which just shows the increasing demand in the country for the SUV with the raging bull badge.

The Lamborghini Urus is the second SUV to come from the Italian marque based in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy after the LM002 which is better known as the Rambo Lambo.

The Lamborghini Urus is based on the Volkswagen Group's MLB EVO platform and is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that pushes out 641bhp at 6,00rpm and 850Nm of peak torque between 2,250 and 4,500rpm, all of which is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Urus features multiple driving modes including multiple off-roading modes - a first for a Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Urus is quite a large car, considering it can easily carry a family of four in luxury. The Urus is 5,113mm long, 2,017mm wide and 1,638mm tall. The Urus has a 3,002mm long wheelbase and it weighs a rather heavy 2,200 kilogrammes.

Despite tipping the scales at 2.2 tonnes, the Lamborghini Urus is no slouch when it comes to straight-line speed. The Lamborghini Urus can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 306km/h.

As stated before the Urus features multiple driving modes - 7 to be precise. The Urus sports the regular driving modes present on every other road-biased Lambo currently around - Strada, Sport and Corsa. Along with these, the Urus also sports three off-roading modes - Terra, Neve and Sabbia - or land, snow and sand. There is a final Ego mode which allows owners to customize their steering, engine and suspension settings to make a combination that suits them.

To bring the heavy Urus to a stop no matter the terrain, Lamborghini has fitted its super SUV with the world's largest carbon ceramic brake discs at the front measuring 440mm. These front brakes feature 10 piston callipers. The rear brakes are no slouches either - 370mm discs with six-piston callipers.
