Tata Punch Variants And Colour Options Leaked; Launch Likely To Be On October 4th
Tata Punch variants and colour options leaked online. A leaked document has revealed different variants and colour options that will be available on the upcoming Tata Punch micro-SUV.
Last time we brought you the news that Tata Motors has shipped Tata Punch micro-SUV to dealerships even before the official launch of the vehicle.
Now it looks like the details regarding the variants and colours on the upcoming Tata Punch has been leaked online.
From the leaked image of the document, we can see that the upcoming micro-SUV from Tata Motors is more likely to be launched in four variants and six colour options.
The six colour options include White, Grey, Bronze, Orange, Blue and Stonehenge. Apart from this, there are also dual-tone colour options that are most likely to be available on top-end variants.
Along with this, there are several leaked images of the upcoming Tata Punch micro-SUV which reveal many design traits of the Micro-SUV.
The most attractive aspect of the Tata Punch is its design where it remains very little changed to the original Tata HBX concert car revealed a year ago at the Auto Expo 2020.
In the production version, the major differences lie in the front and rear bumpers that exclude the large skid plates, knobby tyres, alloy wheels and colour schemes.
Even without those, the production version of the Tata Punch looks just as intimidating and attractive as the original HBX concept car. A major contributor to the SUV-like stance is the tall and upright front section.
Overall, the upcoming Tata Punch looks more like a miniature version of the Tata Harrier.
Some leaked images reveal the interior of the Tata Punch micro-SUV, where it has been spotted that the micro-SUV will use a stylish multi-layered dashboard, dashboard-mounted touchscreen infotainment system, a set of large rectangular air-con vents and many more.
Though the new Tata Punch is just a micro-SUV, it looks slightly bigger than its main competitors from Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra.
Apart from this, it will be Tata Motors first SUV to be built on the newly developed ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) platform.
Tata Motors has also added few additional features such as Drive Modes and Terrain Response modes to justify the SUV roots. Though this feature does not transform the Tata Punch into a hardcore 4x4, it will help the owners tackle some light off-road situations with relative ease.
The new Tata Punch is also likely to get additional features such as hill-start assist and hill descent control to aid the driver.
Speaking about features, we expect Tata Motors to offer the Tata Punch with features such as a semi-digital instrument console, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, iRA connected car tech, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, smart keyless entry, push-button start/stop, power-operated ORVMs with auto-folding, cruise control and many more.
Tata Punch will also follow the high safety standards set by the company with safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seats and a few more to keep its passengers safe.
Expect Tata Motors to use the existing line of powertrains from the Tata Altroz. This means it will be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine with 85Bhp and 113Nm of torque.
However, there is a chance that Tata Motors may introduce a more powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 108Bhp and 140Nm of torque in later stages.
Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and an optional AMT gearbox will also be offered to reduce the price gap between manual and automatic options.
Thoughts About Tata Punch Variants and Colours
Tata Punch is one of the most awaited SUVs in India and ever since the Tata HBX concept car was showcased a year ago at the Auto Expo, more people were curious and eager for the launch of the vehicle.
If Tata Motors could rightly price its latest SUV with its four different variants, it is going to be a game-changer for Tata Motors in the automotive industry.
