Nissan Magnite Vs Renault Kiger Sales Comparison For April 2021: Car Sales Report
The Nissan Magnite and the Reanult Kiger are the latest entrants to the compact SUV segment in the Indian market. Both models share a host of components and are also produced alongside each other in the same factory.
As a result, the competition between both SUVs is intense each month. However, in the month of April 2021, the Magnite has outsold its competition. According to the report from Autopunditz, the Nissan Magnite has registered 2,904 units in sales last month.
In comparison, the Renault Kiger registered 2,800 units sales in the same month — around 4 per cent less than the Japanese compact SUV. The competition is getting fierce between the two models as the Kiger outsold the Magnite in March 2021.

Both companies have increased the price of their models in the Indian market. After the price hike, the Magnite now retails between Rs Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. On the other hand, the Renault Kiger variants are priced between Rs 5.45 lakh and Rs 9,72 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (India).
Despite the price hike the Magnite and the Kiger are among the most affordable offerings in the compact SUV segment. The Kiger undercuts its Japanese rival by Rs 14,000 to become the most affordable car in the segment.
Both models share the same CMF-A+ platform, engine and transmission options. However, both compact SUVs follows their respective brand's design philosophy. Additionally, the Kiger has a slight edge over the Magnite as the French compact SUV is offered with an optional AMT transmission.
The Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger are offered with two engine options. This includes the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated unit engine producing a maximum of 71bhp and a peak torque of 96Nm. And the top-spec 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out a maximum of 99bhp and a peak torque of 160Nm.
Some of the highlighted features offered on both compact SUVs include LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, integrated roof spoiler, front and rear scuff plates, a 7-inch instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, a multifunction steering wheel with mounted controls and a dual-tone interior theme; among others.
Thoughts About The Nissan Magnite Vs Renault Kiger Sales Comparison For April 2021
The Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite is placed in the highly competitive compact SUV segment. This time the Magnite has the upper hand over the Kiger.
Other models in the same segment include the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
