2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Revealed In Leaked Images
The next generation of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been revealed in leaked images. The next-gen Brezza is expected to drop the Vitara name and sports a heavily revised design.
The next generation of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been revealed in leaked images on a youtube video by the channel Extreme Media. The next-gen Brezza sports a heavily revised design and is expected to arrive by mid-2022.
The images of the next-gen Maruti Brezza shows off a host of design changes that gives the sub-4-metre SUV a brand new look. The original Brezza was launched in 2016 and Maruti updated the SUV with a slightly tweaked design when it dropped its diesel engine in 2020.
The leaked images show off a brand new front end with a new bumper and fenders. The new front end also sports a new set of headlights which look to be pure LED units with integrated daytime running lights. The headlights flank the all-new grille which sports chrome and black plastic bits. The front bumper features the revised fog lamps and what appears to be a faux skid plate.
The new Brezza also sports what appears to be a new set of wheels. Other changes include a large sunroof above the front seats (something missing on the current SUV) and a brand new rear end. The major changes at the rear include brand new taillights which look quite sharp and are expected to be fully-LED units. In between the taillights sits the large Brezza badge above which sits the Suzuki 'S' symbol. The changes at the rear also include the faux skid plate in silver and the black inserts on the new rear bumper.
Inside, the changes are quite extensive as well. The 2022 Maruti Brezza is expected to share quite a few features with the upcoming Baleno and some of these features can be seen in the leaked images. These changes include a large free-standing infotainment touchscreen unit that sits atop the revised dashboard. The infotainment system is expected to support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The all-new 2022 Brezza also sports paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, which is something not seen on the current vehicle. The new Brezza is also expected to feature connected car tech including an SOS system which can be seen in the image of the revised instrument cluster.
Under the bonnet, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to remain unchanged. The current Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of peak torque at 4,400rpm. The engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic with the latter expected to be offered with paddle shifters in higher-specced guises.
Thoughts On The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the current king of the sub-4-metre SUV segment. However, the current vehicle's design is now over 5 years old and is getting quite staid. The new Brezza, which is expected to drop the Vitara name brings a host of design changes that should give the Brezza a new lease of life which in turn could spell trouble for all its rivals. The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to arrive in mid-2022 with a slightly higher price tag than the current model.
