Hyundai is known to be working on a brand new 7-seater SUV for the Indian market, based on the latest-generation Creta. The new 7-seater Hyundai SUV will come with a different nameplate and is expected to go on sale in India sometime in mid-2021.

Ahead of its launch in the Indian market, the new seven-seater Hyundai SUV has been spotted testing yet again. Spy pics of the upcoming 7-seater Hyundai Creta SUV have been released by Motorbeam, which showcase a completely camouflaged test mule.

Talking about the design, the new 7-seater SUV from Hyundai is expected to have a similar styling as the Creta. This includes the split LED headlamp unit with the C-shaped LED DRLs, the large cascading grille and the central air intake flanked by fog lamps on the front bumper. The new 7-seater SUV though will come with slight revisions and subtle updates over the standard Creta SUV.

The main changes to the exterior design will, however, be on the side and rear profiles. The new 7-seater SUV will have larger dimensions compared to the Creta, in order to accommodate the third-row of passenger seats.

This will give the 7-seater SUV a distinctive side profile with a larger overhang and a new quarter panel behind the c-pillar. The 7-seater SUV is also expected to feature a new design for the rear profile, with updated taillights, boot lid and bumper.

Interiors on the new 7-seater SUV are also expected to be significant, mainly on the second row. We expect Hyundai to introduce individual captain seats in the second row, with bench seats on third for its seating configuration. Hyundai might introduce a number of new features and equipment as well.

The seven-seater Hyundai SUV will, however, be powered by the same set of petrol and diesel engines as the standard Creta. This comes in the form of a 115bhp producing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine option.

Thoughts On The Seven-Seater Hyundai SUV Spied Testing

The 7-seater Hyundai SUV based on the Creta has been in the works for quite a while now. With the Hyundai Creta becoming the best-selling SUV in the country in 2020, the company will be hoping to achieve the same level of success with their upcoming seven-seater offering as well.
