MG Astor: Variants Explained

This engine is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission.

The next engine option is a more powerful 1.3-litre turbocharged unit with 138.08 bhp at 5600 rpm and 220 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm, and this engine is solely mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Moreover, the four trim levels on offer are; Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. However, according to MG, once the Sharp trim gets equipped with the optional Autonomous Level 2 Package, the Sharp variant can also be represented as 'Savvy'.

1. STYLE

The Style variant is the base variant, and it is only available with 1.5-litre VTi-Tech naturally-aspirated engine equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Though this variant is available in both CVT automatic and manual transmission, it is not available with the more powerful 1.3-litre turbocharged engine.

MG Astor comes in four trim levels and it must be said that even the base Style trim, comes heavily loaded with features.



However, it is the Smart trim that comes loaded with most of the smart features and the top-end Sharp trim adds few more features like the Panoramic Sunroof, 6 Way Power Adjustment Seat, Rain Sensing Wipers, and 360 surround View Camera.
