Mercedes-Benz Creates The Most Transparent Retail Experience
Mercedes-India announced the launch of its 'Retail Of The Future' (ROTF) platform, which according to Mercedes-Benz will redefine how cars are sold in the country. Mercedes-Benz claims that its Retail Of The Future business model is highly customer-centric.
The Retail Of The Future business model was first introduced in June this year as a testing phase and India is the first CKD market of Mercedes-Benz to implement this business model.
By implementing the new Retail Of The Future (ROTF) business model across the country, Mercedes-Benz India will retain the ownership of the entire stock of cars in the country.
These cars according to Mercedes-Benz India will retail through appointed retail partners only. Moreover, these cars will be invoiced directly to the customers. This means Mercedes-Benz India will be responsible for processing and fulfilling the orders.
"Today, we are proud to implement the 'Retail of the Future' in India after successfully establishing a robust digital backbone, which will support this significant transition in our retail business. ROTF is a unique customer-centric business model, which caters to the evolving trends of our customers while empowering our Franchise Partners by significantly reducing their financial and operational risks in the market.
ROTF further supports our quest toward creating customer excellence as the Franchise Partners will now solely compete on providing a superlative customer experience," said Martin Schwenk, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
Mercedes-Benz claims that, with the introduction of Retail Of The Future (ROTF) business model, there will be uniform pricing across the country on all of their models.
Apart from that Mercedes-Benz says that its customers no longer need to pay any incidental charges for their purchase. Moreover, this business model will give customers complete access to the company's stock.
This will give more transparency to customers by allowing the customer to choose their preferred model from across the country.
Apart from that, this new platform will also provide VIN number to customers during the booking stage itself.
Customers can book their favourite Mercedes-Benz by paying a booking amount of Rs 50,000 via the new Retail Of The Future (ROTF) platform. Apart from that, the booking amount is fully refundable and the customer can reserve the car for 40 days.
"With ROTF, we have created a completely unified customer journey experience with many industry-first initiatives to its credit. For the first time in India, there are no incidental or extra charges for the customers. Customers now have a direct access to Mercedes-Benz India's national stock with a wide variety of inventory choices. ROTF is a step in the right direction in getting closer to our customers,
and a result of listening to their wishes and evolving requirements. As the most trusted luxury brand in the country, we have set a new standard in customer centricity, a new benchmark in Franchise Partners' profitability and introduced a new culture of competing only for the best customer experience." Mr Schwenk added.
Thoughts About Mercedes-Benz Retail Of The Future (ROTF) Platform
ROTF platform will give transparency to customers like never before and the platform will also protect its franchise owners. Apart from that, this new platform will enable the brand to offer hassle-free operations in the country.
