Maruti Suzuki To Hike Prices Across Its Entire Range From April 2021: Read More To Find Out!
Maruti Suzuki had previously announced that it is set to increase the prices of all its models from the month of April 2021. This is the second price hike that the carmaker has done this year and this has been done mainly due to the rise in the cost of production.
The price hike will be across the entire rance: Alto 800, S-Presso, Eeco, Celerio, Celerio X, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Ertiga and the Vitara Brezza. Not only this, but the company will also increase the prices of the models sold through its premium Nexa dealership: Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross and the XL6.
In other related Maruti Suzuki news, the company recently launched the 2021 Swift facelift in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 5.73 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). The facelift version of the hatchback now comes with a number of cosmetic updates, subtle revisions to the interiors and a new petrol engine as well.
The most significant change on the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift is the addition of a new engine. This new powertrain comes in the form of a 1.2-litre DualJet VVT petrol unit, replacing the old 1.2-litre K-series engine. The new unit produces 88bhp (compared to 82bhp from the previous engine) and 113Nm of peak torque.
The engine is further mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT automatic as standard. The updated powertrain options also offer improved mileage figures as well, with Maruti Suzuki now claiming 23.20km/l and 23.76km/l on the manual and AMT versions, respectively.
Also, Maruti Suzuki has already commenced the export operations of the Jimny SUV in the country. The first batch of SUV was produced in India and is being shipped to Latin American countries such as Columbia and Peru. The first shipment of 184 units of the Suzuki Jimny SUV left from Mundra port in Gujarat. The company is expected to launch the model soon in the Indian market also.
Thoughts About The Price Hike Done By Maruti Across Its Entire Portfolio
As we mentioned above that due to the increase in the cost of production and materials the manufacturer has no other option but to increase the prices. However, we are expecting that the difference between the old and the new prices should not be that much.
