Mahindra Extends The Warranty Period Of All Its Vehicles Due To Covid-19: Read More To Know!
Mahindra & Mahindra has recently announced that it will be extending the warranty period for all its cars. This decision has been taken by the company due to the lockdown enforced across the country, because of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a statement released by the carmaker on its social media platform, the extension of the warranty period will be applicable for vehicles that were set to expire between April 1 and May 31. The warranty period will now be 'auto extended' till July 31, 2021. The extension of the warrant and scheduled maintenance or free service will be applicable across Mahindra's range of vehicles such as the Thar SUV, Bolero, Scorpio, XUV300 and others.
Mahindra is not the only carmaker to take such a step. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor, Tata Motors, MG Motor have already extended their warranty and periodic service schemes. Last year also, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of manufacturers had to take such a decision.
Earlier this month, Mahindra hiked prices of all models across its portfolio. The price hike includes models such as the KUV100, XUV300, Bolero, Thar, Marazzo, XUV500, and Alturas G4. The hike is up to Rs 49,000. Moreover, except the Thar, all the models had their prices revised in February earlier this year.
We are expecting that the prices of all the variants have increased due to the increase in the cost of production. However, the hike in the price of all the vehicles is not that much that it will affect the sales of the company.
Thoughts About Mahindra Extending The Warranty Period Of Its Vehicles Due To Covid-19
Due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Indian is facing a huge crisis. The country is currently under lockdown and most of the businesses are either running on less staff or are shut down. Mahindra has announced the extension of the periodic schedules and maintenance of all its cars just like many other manufacturers.
