Hyundai Creta E Variant Spotted At Dealership: Misses Out On Some Features!
Early last year, Hyundai Motors launched the all-new Creta SUV in the Indian market. The new Hyundai Creta was first showcased in the country at the Auto Expo 2020. The Creta is offered in five variants: E, EX, S, SX and SX(O). Moreover, recently, the new Creta also got its first price hike.
However, according to the latest report by Rushlane, several units of the Creta's base 'E' variant have already started to arrive at the dealerships. As seen in the spy images, the Base E variant does not get any additional features, but instead, loses out on some. The variant now gets manually adjustable ORVMs instead of electric ones. Also, it missed out on the LED indicators on the ORVMs, puddle light and boot light.
Mechanically, the Creta E variant will only be offered by a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine that churn out the same 115bhp and 144Nm and 250Nm of peak torque, respectively. Hyundai on the other hand, the company is offering the 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit on the higher-spec variants. This 1.4-litre T-GDI unit also produces the same 140bhp on the Creta as it does on the Kia Seltos.
All three engines will come mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox. While the three engines will also be offered with separate automatic transmission options. This includes a six-speed CVT with the 1.5-litre petrol, a torque-converter for the 1.5-litre diesel and a seven-speed DCT on the 1.4-litre petrol units.
The Hyundai Creta also features the brand's latest cascading grille at the front, surrounded by a newly designed set of LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The front bumper has also been updated and features LED fog lamps and a central air intake with faux silver scuff plates at the bottom.
Other features on the all-new Hyundai Creta include wireless charging, ventilated front seats, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, tyres pressure monitoring system, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, paddle shifters, electric parking brake, rear parking camera & sensors, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, electronic stability control; among a host of others.
Thoughts About The Hyundai Creta E Variant
The Hyundai Creta, the base E variant now gets less features than before and is offered only with the 1.5-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Creta goes up against the likes of the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and the Volkswagen T-Roc.
