30,000 Nissan Magnite SUVs Delivered India
Nissan has announced that it has delivered 30,000 units of Magnite SUV in India, since its launch last year. Moreover, the company has received more than 72,000 bookings for the compact SUV.
To mark the occasion, the keys of the 30,000th Magnite SUV was handed over to the respective customer by Nissan AMIEO Region Chairperson Guillaume Cartier.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Cartier said "With this car (SUV Magnite), we wanted to shake up the highly competitive compact SUV segment in India. The Nissan Magnite symbolizes Nissan's commitment to driving innovation in India through daring design, technology and world-class Indian manufacturing"
"We are glad to have rolled out the 30,000th Nissan Magnite. We have been able to achieve this milestone with the help and support from all our supplier partners," said Biju Balendran, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer AR Renault Nissan Auto India Pvt Ltd.
Recently, Nissan India partnered with the cricketing legend Kapil Dev, who led the then Indian cricket team to win the 1983 cricket world cup to promote the Virtual Trophy Tour of ICC Men's T20 World Cup via the Instagram AR filter.
Moreover, the partnership between the Japanese brand and the cricketing legend launched an integrated general awareness and safety campaign to educate and empower the country against COVID-19 viruses.
Nissan Magnite being the official car of ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the 5-seater compact SUV from the Japanese car manufacturer received an additional reach that is crucial to improve its sales in the country which is obsessed with cricket.
Speaking about the Nissan Magnite, the compact-SUV was launched last year in the country, and it has been a game-changer for the Japanese brand in India. Since its launch, the Nissan Magnite has generated over 72,000+ bookings despite the ongoing pandemic conditions.
Nissan Magnite is built on the highly versatile CMF-A+ platform that also happens to underpin other vehicles such as the Renault Triber. Moreover, this platform is a derivative of the CMF-A platform that underpins vehicles like the Renault Kwid.
Despite being one of the lightest vehicles in its class, the Nissan Magnite scored an impressive 4-star rating in the ASEAN NCAP crash testing.
The Nissan Magnite engine options include a small & frugal 72 bhp 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a more powerful turbocharged engine with identical displacement.
Despite the 1.0-litre capacity, the turbocharged petrol engine produces 98.6 bhp and 160Nm of torque (152Nm of torque in CVT gearbox variant), and gearbox options include 5-speed manual transmission and a silky-smooth CVT gearbox.
Nissan Magnite is available in 4 different trim levels; XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium. Prices for the Nissan Magnite starts from Rs 5.59 lakhs in India.
