2021 MG Hector Facelift Launched In India At Rs 12.90 Lakh: Here Are All The Details
MG Motor has launched the all-new 2021 Hector facelift in the Indian market. The Hector facelift carries a starting price of Rs 12,89,800 ex-showroom. This new facelifted version has been launched by the company within just 18 months from its first launch in the country.
The all-new Hector will be available in four variants: Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. The top of the line Sharp diesel manual variant carries a price tag of Rs 18,32,800 ex-showroom. Now the main highlight at the front of the new Hector is the grille, that now features chrome inserts and looks fantastic and gives the car an upmarket look.
Rest of the front end remains identical to the previous model. It continues to feature LED DRLs with dynamic indicators and a full LED headlight setup. The new Hector will now be available with a dual-tone paint scheme and blacked out ORVMs that have integrated indicators and a camera on each side for the 360-degree camera feature.
It now gets a set of 18-inch wheels that are finished in dual-tone. However, the design of the alloy looks like the one seen on the ZS EV. Since it's a big vehicle now the size of the wheels are going well with the overall size of the SUV. Rest of the side profile remains identical and they get a lot of chrome all around.
Moving on to the rear end, there is only one noticeable change and that is the reflective strip that used to connect both the taillights, has been replaced by a gloss black strip. Other than that, the SUV remains almost the same as the pre-facelift model.
On the inside, the new Hector gets dual-tone beige and black themed interiors, ventilated cool seats for the driver and the co-passenger, additional USB A-type charging slots, and a wireless smartphone charger that is located right at the front of the gear lever. The voice command also gets an update and now commands can be given both in Hindi and English.
The engine and transmission options on the MG Hector facelift will be the same as the outgoing model. It will continue to be offered with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 143bhp and 250Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre diesel engine churns out 173bhp and 350Nm of torque.
The petrol engine is also offered with a 48V mild-hybrid variant, which offers better fuel efficiency and low-end grunt. All engine options come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the non-hybrid petrol engine is offered with an optional DCT transmission unit.
Thoughts About The All-New MG Hector Facelift
The new Hector looks good with all the new changes and has now become a better package. The MG Hector facelift will rival the upcoming Jeep Compass facelift, Tata Harrier, and the Nissan Kicks in the Indian market.
