Volvo V90 Cross Country Removed From India Website

The Volvo V90 Cross Country was launched in July 2017 in India and it was the wagon version of the S90. However, Volvo India has recently removed the V90 Cross Country from its official Volvo India website. Which means that the V90 Cross Country is no longer on sale in the Indian market. Currently, the company is offering four models in India.

However, the Volvo S90 is the only sedan available and the SUVs in the line up consist of the XC40, XC60 and the XC90. The Volvo V90 Cross Country was powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel unit in the D5 spec that made 235bhp of power and 480Nm of peak torque. The motor was mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The V90 Cross Country also got an all-wheel-drive (AWD) and the air ride suspension as standard.

At the front, the Volvo V90 Cross Country looks similar to the S90 sedan. The front grille featured small metallic inserts and the 'Thor hammer' LED headlamp setup with DRLs as well as the bold curves on the hood dominate the front profile. At the side, the V90 Cross Country was a station wagon, but the 20-inch wheels and plastic-clad wheel arches along with the raised ground clearance of 210mm offer glimpses of an SUV.

At the rear, the wagon got tonnes of storage space at the trunk, around 590-litres, which is more practical compared to the bulkiness of an SUV. Inside the cabin, the car featured a large 12.3-inch touchscreen display dominating the dashboard and high-quality materials and wood inserts used aplenty. The V90 Cross Country also got ventilated seats and massage options in the front seats.

Thoughts About The Volvo V90 Cross Country

The Volvo V90 was an excellent vehicle, it looked good, handled well and most importantly, offered to notch luxury and safety. Earlier this year, Volvo updated the S90, V90 and the V90 Cross Country models globally and we hope that it makes its way to the Indian shores.
