The Tata Harrier Dark BS6 special edition deliveries have begun in India. The special edition of the SUV has been carried forward to make it BS6-compliant. The Dark edition started to arrive at dealerships last month and features a slight increase in its pricing.

The images posted by Pragnesh Gavit on social media reveals the Tata Harrier Dark BS6 model being delivered to the customer at one of the dealerships in the country. The Harrier Dark is currently offered in four variants: XZ, XZ Plus, XZA and XZA Plus.

The manual variant of the Harrier Dark retails at a starting price of Rs 17.7 lakh, while the automatic variant retails at Rs 19.0 lakh. The top-spec trim XZA Plus costs Rs 20.25 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (India).

The Harrier Dark edition features a host of changes to tell it apart from the standard model. It features an all-black paint scheme called ‘Atlas Black', 17-inch Blackstone alloy wheels, blacked-out scuff plates at both ends, dark-toned tail lamps, and shark fin antenna; among others.

On the inside, the special edition SUV features a blacked-out cabin, Benecke Kaliko leather seat upholstery with contrast grey stitching, and Blackstone grey dashboard. All the chrome trims from the standard Harrier variants are finished in a new gunmetal grey chrome pack. It adds a contrasting look to the all-black interiors.

Apart from these changes, the Tata Harrier Dark edition continues to borrow other features from the standard models. This includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, 7-inch colour MID, climate control and a 9-speaker JBL premium audio system.

The safety net on the SUV includes six-airbags ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, electronic stability control, and traction control. The Harrier also features hill start assist, seat-belt reminders, high-speed warning, and hill-descent control.

Mechanically it will remain the same as well. The Tata Harrier continues to feature the same BS-VI spec 2.0-litre ‘Kryotec' diesel engine. It produces 168bhp and 350Nm and comes mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox, with an optional six-speed automatic.
