However, as per the images clicked by Rushlane, the Tata Gravitas and the Tata Harrier petrol have been spotted once again parked next to each other. Both the SUVs are heavily camouflaged as they are still going under tests.

The Gravitas is essentially an extended version of the Harrier SUV. However, there are some changes between both the models. On the outside, the extended SUV will no longer have a swooping roofline as seen in the standard model. Mechanically the Gravitas will be powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, ‘Kryotec' diesel engine that churns out 168bhp of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox, with an optional six-speed automatic.

Now, coming to the Harrier petrol, design-wise the new Harrier will remain identical to the current model. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to receive a new 1.5-litre Revotron petrol engine. The turbocharged engine will be capable of pumping out 148bhp of power and 250Nm of peak torque. It is expected to get both manual and automatic transmissions and this petrol motor is also expected to power the Gravitas at a later stage.
