However, the main update on the Harrier is its mechanicals. The new 2020 Tata Harrier now comes with a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre ‘Kryotec' diesel engine, which now produces 30bhp more than its BS4 version.

The updated engine now churns out 170bhp and 350Nm of peak torque and comes mated to either the standard six-speed manual or the newly-introduced six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

Tata Motors has finally included an automatic transmission unit on the Harrier. This should make the mid-size SUV better equipped to take on its competitors; all of whom already offer automatic transmission options.

Tata Motors has brought in an array of vehicles to the Auto Expo 2020. The Tata Sierra and the HBX concepts, however, are the showstoppers of the pavilion. While the Tata HBX is expected to go on sale in India this year, the same can't be said for the Sierra. Although we would like to see it go into production.
