Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 8.2 Crore
Rolls Royce has introduced the Black Badge version of the Cullinan in the Indian market. The new Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge is offered with a starting price of Rs 8.20 crore, ex-showroom (India).
The Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge is essentially a more sporty version of the standard luxury SUV offering from the brand. The new Black Badge edition comes with a host of new updates and features. This includes a new black paint scheme, blacked-out exhaust pipes, new 22-inch forged alloy wheels with red brake callipers and a hand-painted Coachline running across the length of the SUV.
Rolls Royce also de-chromes all the exterior bits on the Cullinan Black Badge. This includes blacked-out front grille and grille surrounds, side-frame finishers, boot handle, lower air inlet and the boot trim. The Cullinan Black Badge also comes with the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy' finished in Gloss Black Chrome.
The de-chroming isn't restricted to the exteriors alone as the interiors too receive a number of blacked-out accents. This includes a carbon-fibre weave on the interiors, along with a completely blacked-out cabin with contrast stitching.
The Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge continues to be powered by the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine.
However, the Black Badge produces slightly higher power and torque figures of 600bhp and 900Nm of torque; an increase of 29bhp and 50Nm of torque from the standard model.
The engine is further mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels.
The Rolls Royce Cullinan is the first-ever SUV offering from the luxury brand. The Cullinan was globally-unveiled back in May 2018, ahead of its international launch. Rolls Royce introduced the Cullinan SUV in the Indian market as well towards the end of 2018, with a price tag starting at Rs 6.95 crore, ex-showroom (India).
Thoughts On The Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge
The Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge is essentially the de-chromed and sportier version of the standard luxury SUV. The Cullinan is the latest addition to the Black Badge family of Rolls Royce, which also includes the Ghost, Wrath and the Dawn. The Rolls Royce Cullinan rivals the likes of the Bentley Bentayga and the Lamborghini Urus.
