New Mahindra TUV300 Plus Patent Images Leaked Ahead Of Launch: Spy Pics & Other Details
Mahindra is expected to launch a slew of updated models starting with the Thar from next month. The company will also be updating its TUV300 line-up to comply with the latest emission standards. Ahead of its launch, patent images of the upcoming SUV have been leaked revealing a couple of new changes.
Leaked spy images from Gaadiwaadi, reveals a patent image of the TUV300 Plus extended SUV. From the leaked images we can notice the newly designed front fascia with a bold grille and Mahindra logo placed in the centre. Below the vertical slat grille is the new wider air-intake with honeycomb pattern as well.
Other design changes include new headlamps with integrated DRLs placed on top, reworked bumper, and the fog lamps housing. It is also expected to feature redesigned tail-lamps, rear bumpers and minor changes to the boot lid.
New dual-tone alloy wheels could also make its way to the facelifted SUV. However, the boxy silhouette of the SUV is expected to remain unchanged on the new model. The TUV300 Plus will be sharing its platform with the 2020 Mahindra Thar and the next-generation Scorpio as well.
On the inside, the TUV300 Plus facelift model could undergo a complete design revision with an updated infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is also expected to feature new interior trims, making for a fresh and pleasant feel in the cabin.
The biggest change on the new TUV300 Plus will be the new BS-VI compliant engine. The TUV300 Plus BS4 models were powered by the 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 120bhp of power and 280Nm of torque. We expect Mahindra to retain the same engine and add a petrol option as seen on the all-new Thar.
The TUV300 Plus was introduced back in 2018 and is based on the younger TUV300 compact-SUV. The TUV300 Plus is 445mm longer than its yonder sibling. The extended SUV features seating for nine, including the driver, as compared to the seven on the TUV300.
The TUV300 line-up has been there since 2015 and is yet to receive any major design changes from the company. Mahindra is looking to change that with the launch of the new-gen TUV300 line-up with a fresh design.
