Recently, according to a report by GaddiWaddi, the facelifted version of the Hector SUV was spotted testing in Vadodara, with a few subtle cosmetic changes. As seen in the spy images, the SUV gets a new mesh design for the front grille and a new set of 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

At the rear, there is only one change and that is the strip connecting the taillights, its become black with chrome (it used to be red with chrome). Other than that, the vehicle remains unchanged. Earlier this year, the company launched the Hector dual-tone paint scheme in the Indian market at Rs 16.84 lakh, ex-showroom (India). The company is offering the new dual-tone paint scheme in two colour options.

The two new shades are the: ‘Glaze Red' and ‘Candy White'. These new paint schemes are only available on the range-topping Sharp trim only. However, it is being offered in both petrol and diesel models of the Hector SUV. Other than that, Apart from a blacked-out roof, both paint schemes feature a host of trims pieces that are blacked-out as well. This includes the pillars and the ORVMs. It adds to the sportiness of the SUV with contrasting looks.

Mechanically also, the facelifted Hector remains unchanged. The SUV is offered with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 143bhp of power and 250Nm of peak torque and a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 173bhp of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is also offered with a 48V mild-hybrid variant, which offers better fuel efficiency and low-end grunt. All engine options come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the non-hybrid petrol engine is offered with an optional DCT transmission unit.

The Hector SUV has grabbed a lot of attention since its launch and has sold in big numbers. However, with the subtle changes to the exterior of the vehicle, the SUV looks nice.
