The Mojo 300 BS6 is expected to feature an updated version of the same engine that powered the BS4 models. The liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder 294.72cc unit produces a maximum power of 26.29bhp at 7,500rpm, and a peak torque of 28Nm at 5,500rpm. Suspension on the Mojo BS4 motorcycle was handled by a telescopic fork at the front, while the rear gets a mono-shock setup. Braking was done via 320mm front disc brake and 240mm rear disc brake, both of which are sourced from Bybre. The motorcycle was offered with dual-channel ABS as standard. The Mojo 300 also came equipped with Pirelli Angel City tyres at both ends.

The Mojo was launched in India back in 2015 and it instantly became popular as one among the most sought out touring motorcycles in the price bracket. However, the company decided to introduce an entry-level variant of the motorcycle called the ‘UT300', while the top-spec model was called ‘XT300'.

The Mahindra Mojo UT300 came with conventional telescopic forks and single-side exhaust and few other changes to make the motorcycle more affordable. However, the strategy didn't work and in 2019, the company decided to reduce the motorcycle variants to a single trim.

It is also the time the company introduced dual-channel ABS as standard and called the motorcycle as Mojo 300 ABS. Most of the components on the 2019 model were borrowed from the ‘UT300' which included the suspension setup and exhaust setup; among others.

This was done to make the motorcycle more affordable. Despite the lower price tag and its newly launched rivals such as the Bajaj Dominar and the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the motorcycle never brought in the sales number for the company.
