Isuzu BS6 Models Expected To Arrive At Dealerships In September: Here Are All Details
Japanese-based automakers, Isuzu Motors is yet to update its entire vehicle line-up to meet BS6 emission standards. None of the SUVs and pick-up trucks sold before is updated to new pollution regulations.
According to recent reports from TeamBHP, the company is expected to dispatch BS6 models to dealerships next month. This means that the BS6 range of model could be launched sometime next month.
The reports suggested that Isuzu had deferred BS6 vehicle launches to the second quarter of 2020-21 due to the ongoing pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a nation-wide lockdown which forced automakers to suspend production operations temporarily in the country.
The reports also suggest that select dealers are currently selling BS4 compliant vehicles to customers. These vehicles have been pre-registered to the dealership. It will be transferred to the customer's name upon successful purchase.
As a result, the customer will become the second owner of the vehicle with zero kilometres on the ODO metre. The company's dealerships are also offering heavy discounts of up to Rs 1.5 lakh on pre-registered BS4 vehicles.
Additionally, they are provided with attractive offers such as a free maintenance package for 3 years/ 1 lakh kilometres and AMC contracts as well. Although these vehicles seem a great value now, in future it will have lesser resale value because of having an extra ownership number.
The company offered three products in India; D-Max, V-Cross and MU-X. While the D-Max is a commercial purpose pick-up truck that is available in a couple of variants. The V-Cross is a pick-up truck sold for private use and features good off-road capabilities.
Lastly, the MU-X is a premium full-size SUV that competes with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4. We recently spotted the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross BS6 model testing without camouflage in Bangalore, ahead of its launch — here are more details.

Isuzu is yet to update its passenger and commercial vehicle line-up to meet new BS6 emission norms in India. The entire line-up of SUVs and pickup trucks were supposed to arrive much earlier in the year.
