BMW Announces Price Hike Across Entire Model Range: Here Are The Details!
BMW has announced that it will be hiking prices of its entire product lineup in the Indian market next month. The company stated that prices of all cars under BMW and MINI in India will receive a hike of up to 2 per cent, with effect from the 4th of January 2021.
BMW Group India states that the reason for the price hike is to offset the increasing input costs. The price hike will vary between each model and variant chosen, across each brand's portfolio. The price hike will also ensure BMW provides sustainable growth, customer satisfaction and dealer profitability.
BMW offers a range of products in the Indian market. This includes a number of models produced in India, along with a range of CBU units as well. The BMW 2 Series GC, 3 Series, 3 Series GT, 5 Series, 6 Series GT, 7 Series, X1, X3, X4, X5, X7 and the MINI Countryman are part of the brand's locally produced models.
Apart from these, BMW also imports models such as 8 Series GC, X6, Z4, M2 Competition, M5 Competition, M8 Coupe, X3 M and X5 M via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. MINI also imports models such as the MINI 3-door, 5-door, MINI Convertible, Clubman and JCW hatch via the same CBU route.

"From 4 January 2021, BMW Group India will introduce the new pricing for BMW and MINI portfolio, increasing the prices marginally by up to 2% to offset the increasing input costs."

Thoughts On The BMW Price Hike From January 2021
BMW is the latest brand in the Indian market to announce a price hike from January 2021. The exact prices of each of the models in the BMW and MINI range will be announced once the hike comes into effect.
