BMW India President & CEO, Rudratej Singh Passes Away: Succumbs To Cardiac Arrest
In what comes as shocking news to the Indian auto industry, BMW India President & CEO, Rudratej Singh has passed away today. Mr Singh reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to his demise.
Rudratej Singh was the President & Chief Executive Officer of the German brand's India operations. Mr Singh took charge of the BMW India Group on the 1st of August 2019.
Rudratej Singh had over 25 years of leadership experience, working in both automotive and non-automotive industries. Prior to BMW Group India, Rudratej Singh was the Global President at Royal Enfield, the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer.
Mr Singh also worked in companies like Unilever India and other international markets and organisations for 16 years, previous to his stint at Royal Enfield. Rudratej Singh, fondly called 'Rudy' had graduated from Delhi University and had an MBS degree in Marketing & Finance from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.
The news of the sad demise of Rudratej Singh, comes just days after the unlikely demise of Mihir Daya, another high-ranking executive of BMW Group India. Mr Dayal was the Sales Director of BMW India, who passed away on the 7th of April after battling with cancer.
