The Bentley Mulsanne has been the brand's flagship model and has been in production for over a decade. However, the company announced that the last Mulsanne has been rolled out of production line.
After more than a decade in production, Bentley has hand-built over 7,300 examples of the Mulsanne. To signify the end of an illustrious and extraordinary lifespan, the company has rolled out a special edition of the final Mulsanne Speed at Bentley's home in Crewe, Cheshire.
Called the ‘6.75 Edition by Mulliner' is finished in Rose Gold over Tungsten, heading to a lucky customer in the USA. Taking its name from the legendary 6.75-litre engine, which this year also came to the end of production after more than 60 years, the ‘6.75 Edition' is limited to only 30 examples.
The special edition luxury limousine features subtle tributes to the engine throughout the car. This includes the interior ‘organ stop' ventilation controls are replaced by designs capped by miniature versions of the engine oil cap. The faces of the clock and minor gauges feature schematic cutaway drawings of the engine.
It also features dark tint treatments to the Flying B bonnet mascot, Mulliner Serenity radiator grille and exhaust tips. While the 21-inch five-spoke Mulsanne Speed wheel will feature a unique bright-machined finish with gloss black pockets.
Some of the other components that are different in the special edition model include an engine intake manifold finished in black, and the Engine Number Plaque that is normally signed by the craftsman that built the engine now bears the signature of the Bentley's CEO Adrian Hallmark.

As the flagship of our model range for over a decade, the Mulsanne has firmly solidified its place in the history of Bentley as nothing less than a true icon."

Now, as we begin Bentley's journey to define the future of sustainable luxury mobility through our Beyond100 strategy, the role of Bentley flagship is passed to the new Flying Spur," he further added.
The Bently Mulsanne was first revealed to the world at prestigious Pebble Beach in 2009. It featured a unique exterior and interior design, chassis and new variant of the iconic twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 engine.
The company claims that In the last 11 years, over 700 people have invested nearly three million hours crafting Bentley's ultra-luxury sedan. Each Mulsanne required approximately 42 million spot welds to create the body, and more than a million hours to make the leather interiors. It also claims that nearly 90,000 hours have been spent polishing cars, and over time it has taken over four million individual quality checkpoints.
The Mulsanne Speed housed an upgraded version of 6.75-litre V8 engine, delivering 530 bhp and a massive 1,100 Nm of torque. It also features selectable driver-focused sports suspension and steering. On the inside, the new Mulsanne reclinable power-operated leather seats, door trims and armrests, and unique switchgear finished in glass, a completely new infotainment system, paired with a premium surround sound premium audio system as well.

The Bentley Mulsanne has been a pinnacle of luxury from the brand's portfolio. The luxury car was handcrafted and built with minute attention to detail. The Mulsanne also matched the luxury with a performance by the iconic ‘six and three quarter-litre' engine which is also being decommissioned with the car. End of an era indeed.
