The BS6 model will be powered an updated version of the same engine that was on the BS4 model. The liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 216.6cc engine produces a maximum of 13bhp at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 18.9Nm at 4000rpm. The engine comes mated to a constant mesh five-speed gearbox.

Bajaj is also offering the Qute with a factory-fitted CNG kit. In CNG mode the engine produces a maximum of 10.8bhp at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 16.1Nm at 4000rpm. The Qute can reach a top speed of 70 km/h.
