The reason why Audi removed the cars from its website is that the A3 and the Q3 were not BS6 ready. Since the BS6 norms have kicked in from April 1, all manufacturers are trying to get rid of the BS4 stock and Audi's stock is over. Well, Audi will be doing a BS6 version of both the cars, but it will have to wait for the moment and the COVID-19 pandemic has struck the globe hard.

The Audi A3 was available in two variants - Premium Plus & Technology - and each of these variants was available with petrol and diesel engine options. The TDI variants of the A3 was powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 143bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm. It was mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

On the other hand, the TFSI variants were powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine churning out 150bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm and were coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The Q3 was also available in the same engine options but in a different state of tune. The 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine produced 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Furthermore, the 2.0-litre TDI engine was again available in two states-of-tune. The lower-spec engine produced 150bhp and 340Nm of torque and the higher-spec engine produced 184bhp and 380Nm of torque.

Thoughts On The Audi A3 And Q3 Being Discontinued

The A3 and the Q3 were one of the most affordable cars in India from Audi and until the company introduces the BS6 versions of both there is no entry in the Indian market till then. We hope that Audi launches the updated version of both these cars soon.
