Spy Pics: Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace Spotted Testing Ahead Of India Launch
The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace has been spotted testing ahead of it launch in the country. Spy pics taken by Rushlane reveal a test model sans camouflage. Spy pics reveal that the upcoming Tiguan AllSpace features the same design language as the regular Tiguan model.
Spy pics reveal that the VW Tiguan AllSpace features a long wheel base. The SUV stands at 4,701mm in length, 1,839mm in width, 1,674mm in height, and its wheelbase measures at 2,787mm. A longer wheelbase could result in Volkswagen launching a seven-seat Tiguan AllSpace model in India.
Spy pics also reveal that the slat styled chrome grille, the LED headlamps, the split LED tail lights, and the dual exhausts featured on the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace bear resemblance to the regular Tiguan model. The AllSpace features larger profile tyres and dual-tone alloy wheels.
Boot space on the VW Tiguan AllSpace stands at 230 liters because of the third row seats. The payload increases to almost 700 liters once the third row seats are folded. The standard Tiguan models offer a boot space of 615 liters.
The interiors of the upcoming VW Tiguan AllSpace share most of their design language with the standard model. The dashboard design remains the same, but arrives with a different colour scheme.
Volkswagen is expected to load the Tiguan AllSpace with creature comforts like a touchscreen infotainment system, two zone climate control, electronically adjustable seats at the front, and a panoramic sun roof.
Expectations are that a 2.0-litre, BS-VI compliant TSI petrol engine will power the Tiguan AllSpace. Performance figures are expected to stand at 190bhp of power and 320Nm of torque.
The VW Tiguan AllSpace is expected to arrive with a seven-speed DSG gearbox, and Volkswagen's 4MOTION All Wheel Drive technology.
The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is expected to make its debut at the Delhi Auto Expo 2020, and once launched, will compete with the Skoda Kodiaq, the Isuzu MU-X, the Honda CR-V, the Toyota Fortuner, the Ford Endeavour, and the Mahindra Alturas G4.
Thoughts About The Tiguan AllSpace
The Tiguan AllSpace is on of the many cars we expect VW to launch over the next year. The company is doing everything it can to re-brand itself and regain its status in the Indian market. We're looking forward to seeing this SUV in the flesh.
