Tata Nexon’s #SafetyFirst Awareness Video Is An Eye-Opener For Indian Car Buyers
Tata Nexon Republic Day 2019 Video: Watch the new Tata Nexon #SafetyFirst TVC video showcasing the importance of safety in cars.
Tata Motors has launched a new public awareness video on Republic Day 2019, featuring the Nexon compact-SUV. Titled as #SafetyFirst, the video portrays the common ignorance of Indian car buyers to safety and the obsession with mileage, space and features.
The video is taken in the simplest yet the most effective way. It showcases a few common types of Indians and their wants in a new car. Despite the stereotyping, any Indian who watches the video can easily relate to it. The theme of the video is simple - a few questions which Indian car buyers ask, plus a few others which they should ask instead.
India is often regarded as one of the most dangerous countries to drive a car in. As per data, India records the highest number of road casualties each year. This has never become a serious concern to the government, manufacturers or buyers; until recently.
The new safety norms set by the Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) mandate that all new cars should have basic safety equipment such as dual airbags, ABS, parking sensors, speed warning, etc. as standard. The newly-released #SafetyFirst video from Tata Motors emphasises on the same.
At present, there is no other car on the market other than the Tata Nexon to promote such a safety awareness video. The compact-SUV recently secured a five-star safety rating in Global NCAP's crash testing; making it the first made-in-India car to do so. Put in other words, the Tata Nexon is the safest Indian car you can buy today.
The Tata Nexon is a really good choice in the highly-competitive sub-four-metre compact-SUV segment in India. It has gone through a few updates since its launch back in September 2017. When we drove the Nexon back then, we were really impressed as well — check out the detailed review of the Tata Nexon to know more.
Tata products have set a new standard when it comes to producing well-built cars at a relatively-affordable price tag. The new Tata Harrier excels in this regard with its class-leading levels of equipment at a lower price bracket. It even has 'Brake Disc Wiping' — check out the top safety features of the Harrier.
Thoughts On Tata Motors' New Safety Awareness Video
It is good to see manufacturers coming up with interesting and socially-relevant advertisements rather than just showcasing their new product. The new #SafetyFirst TVC is still a promotional strategy for the Tata Nexon. However, it does succeed in leaving the viewers in thought.
