Tata Motors Nexon XT+ Variant Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 8.02 Lakh
Tata Motors loves to update and upgrade their offerings on a constant basis. The company has upgraded the Nexon offerings yet again. The Tata Nexon XT+ and XZ variants now feature DRLs and fog lamps. In addition, the XT+ variant features projector headlamps, a height adjustable driver seat, and an eight-speaker system.
The Tata Nexon XT+ is still missing a Connectnext touchscreen infotainment system and alloy wheels, but we reckon that the company is saving these for future upgrades. The external antenna however, is a new one.
Climate control functions still have to manually adjusted in both these variants but have automatic functionality in the XZ+ and the XZA+ variants. With all the new upgrades the Nexon XT+ retails at Rs 8.02 lakh and Rs 8.87 lakh (prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India) for petrol and diesel variants respectively.
The Tata Nexon XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants continue to sport the Connectnext tech, albeit they feature a larger seven-inch touchscreen now. The new infotainment system offers better touch-response and also features updates in the user interface.
The all new seven-inch infotainment system is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible. It also features voice recognition tech that supports navigation, phone calls, and music at the press of a button. One can even read and reply to text messages and WhatsApp messages over voice command.
The Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel engines that come mated to six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The petrol engine produces 110bhp of power and 170Nm torque while the diesel engine churns out 110bhp of power and 260Nm of torque.
The compact Nexon SUV from Tata Motors competes with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, the Ford EcoSport, the Mahindra XUV300, and the Hyundai Venue. We may also see it compete with the upcoming Kia Seltos.
Thoughts About The Upgraded Tata Nexon Variants
We think the only other domestic manufacturer that listens to it's customers and tries to implement every suggestion is a two-wheel manufacturer called Royal Enfield. It is refreshing to see automakers upgrade vehicles on such a frequent basis. Kudos to all the lads at Tata for doing this.
